Bought the boat with dead diesels, so they were removed and the conversion started. I call it a solar powered yacht instead of a battery powered yacht, because I try run on solar and not by plugging in. The sails are still a work in progress, so at the moment I motor everywhere!
When I got the quote for new rigging I should have simply removed the mast and give for even more solar... That was the biggest cost and I still don't have working sails!
The only other thing I might have changed was by going for pods instead of the outboards. They would have given far better manoeuvrability when docking.
