Description: Got the boat with a dead Volvo Penta engine and a 10kW kit from Thunderstruck left by previous owner. I spent quite some time designing and manufacturing a frame to mount the motor to which was then mounted to the same engine mounts as the previous diesel engine. (New mounts though). I did this with the boat in the water and then hauled it in 2022 and replaced shaft, stuffing box, propeller and couplers.

Hindsight: I would seriously check the total price for something like a torqueedo pod drive as the price adds up with battery cables, lugs, laser cut parts, couplers shaft propellers etc etc. The upfront price for the pod is higher but you eliminate a lot of variables. Also, I should have replaced the propeller right away and got rid of the folding 2 blade propeller.
